we found out who won Survivor on the season finale.
This was the season that started out with old versus young. I kept feeling bad for the youngest member of the older tribe because she probably felt like she didn’t belong there.
Of course, those divisions didn’t last very long because Survivor has to have twists and turns. Going into the finale, there were five Survivors left. So, who won Survivor?
The final five were Fabio, who came across as clueless to me; Chase, the Southern good ol’ boy; Sash, who at one point at no allies but then aligned with everyone; Holly, who almost quit early on in the game; and Dan, who didn’t really have any enemies.
The first immunity challenge involved a quiz about Nicaragua and putting together a puzzle. The winner was Fabio. Though Dan tried to make an argument that Holly was a much bigger threat then he was, he was voted out.
The final immunity challenge involved the Survivors balancing a sword with one hand and stacking coins on it with the other. Jeff Probst told them which coin they must stack on their swords and gave them five seconds to get it done: they were also allowed to adjust their stack of coins during that five seconds. For the third time in a row, Fabio won immunity.
It was Holly who was the last one to get sent home. I was a little disappointed to see her go; despite her freak out early in the season, she grew on me.
The final tribal council had a few angry jurors and had me thinking that Chase had no chance of winning. Though there was some anger at Sash, too. No one really seemed to take Fabio all that seriously. But, it’s the votes that count.
When the votes were revealed, it was Fabio who was the sole Survivor.
Do you think he deserved to win?
Amazing Photographs
THE AMAZING CHESS
3-way chess is a chessboard on which three people can play. The same rules apply except for some slight variation on moves made through the center of the board. Apparently this particular game was bought in the Czech Republic. And you know what else you can buy in the Czech Republic don't you? Absinthe. Yeah, I tried making my own once but drinking it made me go blind in one eye for a couple days. Just like the time I pleasured myself for fourteen hours straight.
THE AMAIZNG PILLOW
he Glo Pillow is a foam pillow with alarm clock innards. 40 minutes before your desired wake time it slowly begins lighting its integrated LEDs to gently bring you back to reality. Apparently it's a much more natural way to rise in the morning that a traditional alarm.
THE AMAZING MACHINE
The Boxcooler is a refrigerator in a backpack by designer Sebastian Bertram. It has room for both food and dishes and "thermoelectric Peltier elements replace the traditional “freezer batteries” which defrost after a while. Therefore, the food inside stays fresh and cool for a longer time. They are supplied by a storage cell which can be reloaded inside the car or at home." Sweet, this Sebastian character might be on to something
THE AMAZING TOY
THE AMAZING CREATURE
Apparently a gnome is terrorizing the town of General Guemes in Argentina. Although from the report he didn't actually do anything but try to cross the street (video after the jump!). I mean it's not like he's sucking the blood of your goats like the Chupacabra does. He's just trying to get his gnome on. Leave the poor bastard alone. He's probably just wandering the countryside looking for a nice garden to accentuate.
THE AMAZING BOLL
A 1,500 pound wrecking ball broke loose and ran out of control down a hill for nearly a mile before plowing into things and ending up in the trunk of a student's car.
“The cable just snapped,” Meadville police officer Brian Joseph said. “It just so happened that it snapped at a point and time when the ball was outside the wall.”The out of control ball hit parked cars and even bounced off the curb, before it rolled into the trunk of a student's car, ramming it into cars in front of it.
Could've been a lot worse. The wrecking ball could've been, say, a locomotive! I don't even know what I'm saying anymore.
